Welcome to our new web site! Our goal with the new design is it better serves our friends, families and fans with information on our team. 2009 is just around the corner, hopefully you haven't indulged too much on Thanksgiving turkey and eagerly await Santa and all of the presents, of course only if you were good. The new year usually brings a time of reflection on where you have been and determine goals to strive for, and our team is no different.

From the coaches to the players on the field and those that have graduated have worked hard building a program that teaches not only rugby, but what it means to be a leader, work hard for what you want to achieve and to give back to the community around us. I am really excited about our audacious goal for next year or doing 1,000 hours of community service... and no, we didn't do anything wrong. We are instead committing ourselves to making a difference off the field; I hate to use this now trite line... we are paying forward.

We have in the past done food drives, raised monies and awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) through our work with Miracles for Madison (http://www.miracleformadison.org/), and other charitable functions, but this year we are committing ourselves to really making an impact.

Through this web site and our newsletters (please sign up, it's free) we will keep you informed of our charity drive. This Christmas we have adopted a Central Ohio family that is struggling and we are providing toys from Santa. Starting in the new year we have 5 days where we will be working at the Mid-Ohio Food Bank (http://www.midohiofoodbank.org/ ), collecting and prepping shipments to over 500 local food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio. What we have to offer are nearly 40 motivated young women that want to roll up their sleeves, donate their time and make a difference. This makes me prouder than anything we have ever done on the field.
